Zooper Boogie Stroller
Date Published: 4/23/08
If you've steered clear of jogging strollers because they have the turning radius of a freight train, it's time to take a closer look at the Zooper Boogie Stroller.
With the Boogie Stroller, Zooper has managed to address the single biggest gripe of jogging stroller enthusiasts: difficult steering. Not only does a swiveling front wheel allow the Zooper Boogie Stroller to turn on a dime, it makes it decidedly easier to steer than the fixed-wheel models. Plus, you get the best of both worlds, because with a simple adjustment, the wheel can be locked into a fixed position. The wheels are pneumatic (air-filled) 12-inch tires and, even without suspension, give a smooth ride.
We love the Boogie's canopy. It pivots and can be moved in front of the stroller's passenger in a sun-blocking emergency. The Zooper Boogie Stroller comes with lots of extras, which helps ease the somewhat painful price tag. There's a sun shade, rain shield, tire pump and all-weather boot -- all included with the stroller. It has a large underseat storage basket, but it's lacking a parent or child tray or cup holder. The stroller can be used as a pram, and it can be reversed -- the seat comes off and can be placed facing either position. The Zooper Boogie performs well over smooth or uneven terrain, and takes curbs with ease.
Keep in mind that as much as we love this stroller, it's a muscle-builder. The Zooper Boogie Stroller weighs more than 25 pounds and it doesn't fold compactly. If you purchase this stroller, it's probably a good idea to plan ahead: determine where you will store it when it's not in use.
Pros: Reclining seat, turns easily, comfortable, canopy
Cons: Doesn't fold compactly
