The Zenith Z15LA7R is a 15-inch LCD TV that is HD-ready, PC-compatible, and designed to go just about anywhere you want to put it.

The silver cabinet includes stereo speakers on either side of the flat screen, with control buttons located along the right side of the monitor. All inputs and outputs are accessed from the rear.

The picture on the standard-format screen appears crisp and lively, with a resolution of 1,024X768 and a contrast ratio of 400:1. A 2-D Y/C digital comb filter reduces hanging dots and dot crawl. Color temperature has three settings, and there is a choice of three aspect ratio configurations for dealing with widescreen content.

The viewing angle is 160 degrees horizontally and 130 degrees vertically, but given the small size of the screen it is likely that only one or two people will be viewing at a time, so the angles should not be at all limiting.

The internal stereo speakers produce a total of 6 watts of audio output, which can be adjusted for bass, treble, and balance. Volume is automatically kept within a limited range, and five presets make audio adjustments quick and easy. The Z15LA7R has memory for favorite channels, an on/off timer, a sleep timer, a previous channel return button and custom labeling for channels and inputs.

The rear panel contains a broad range of input options, with an RF input, an audio/video input, an S-video input, a set of component video inputs, a PC input with audio and a headphone jack. The remote control is a long, slender model that has a simple layout for easy navigation through on-screen menus.

A fully featured model, the Zenith Z15LA7R will fit into smaller spaces and provide a big-time TV picture.
