Yamaha speakers have long been favorites of ours, and the NS-333 are no exception. These black two-way bookshelf speakers have a pure and musical tone at a price that can't be beat.

Each NS-333 has a 5-inch polymer injected Mica cone and a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. A waveguide horn directs the sound directly to the listener, unlike other systems that rely on a reflected signal to enhance the sound. This takes room acoustics out of the equation. With a frequency response of 65Hz to 35,000Hz, a subwoofer might be needed to round out the low end, but listeners will still hear virtually every nuance of high-resolution DVD-Audio and SACD recordings.

These speakers look sharp with or without the removable grilles, and they are magnetically shielded for placement near a television monitor. To maintain signal clarity, Yamaha has chosen to use Monster Cable for some of the internal wiring, and it's this attention to detail that make the NS-333 a Best Buy.
