The Wusthof Knife-Life Sharpener 2904 is an easy-to-use handheld knife sharpening device that can be used by right-or left-handed users. At less than 8-inches long, 3-inches tall, and 1.5-inches wide, this lightweight tool can be stored in virtually any drawer, shelf, or utensil bin. Made from hard black plastic with ceramic and carbide inserts, the Knife-Life Sharpener makes the most efficient use of its small frame with a two-stage sharpener and scissors sharpener on one end and a sturdy slip-free handle grip on the other end. To use, simply place the sharpener on a flat work surface.

Rubberized pads on the ends help hold the unit in place while you insert and draw a knife blade through the carbide notch (for coarse sharpening) and then the ceramic notch (for fine sharpening). A moderate downward pressure on the blade ensures an even edge. To use the scissors sharpener, you need to stand the unit on its end and insert and draw the scissors toward you while squeezing the handle grips. If this motion feels challenging, you can also push the scissors over the rod (from tip to handle) to achieve the same results.
