WORX Plunge Router WT600K
Date Published: 5/1/07
With its large, soft-grip handles, the WORX Plunge Router WT600K looks as if it's made with the user in mind, and it performs that way, too. The ergonomic handles allow for a solid grip and cut down on fatigue during long jobs. The rest of this sleek-looking green and black router takes ease of use into consideration, as well.
The fine-adjustment knob is located in a simple-to-reach spot on the top of the tool, letting you easily set the depth of cut. The constant speed control is another notable feature. You can pre-select the speed using the thumbwheel dial control before you start, or tweak it as necessary during operation. This model has a soft-start feature, which prevents herky-jerky start-up, and a spindle lock for quickly inserting or removing the router bit.
The 3-hp WORX Plunge Router WT600K is powered by a 15-amp motor, which allows it to cut through various materials -- wood, aluminum, plastic, particle board -- without trouble. It comes with a cast-aluminum base, a carrying case and a 2-year warranty.
