Wolf 36-Inch Sealed Burner Gas Rangetop SRT366
Date Published: 4/30/08
The Wolf SRT366 is a heavy-duty, commercially styled 36-inch gas rangetop that is ready for the most serious of cooks.
This solid rangetop relies on an unusual dual stacked burner design for its impressive control. The upper ring of ports delivers gas for high output cooking tasks like boiling, stir-frying and searing. The lower ring offers a more controlled release of gas for low output, precision tasks.
A variety of burners make the SRT366 a flexible rangetop appropriate for any surface-cooking task. This model's gas outputs range from a high of 15,000 Btu to a low of 325 Btu on the smallest burner's simmer setting.
Constructed of stainless steel, this model features Wolf's signature, recognizable red knobs, although you have the option of changing their color from red to black. Each of these knobs has a platinum bezel (with an optional upgrade to brass).
We rank this cooktop among our favorites. It's star-K certified and features cast-iron continuous grates topped with porcelain and sealed burners for easy cleaning. Appropriate for either natural gas or propane installations, this model is versatile enough for any home, be it an urban dwelling or a country estate. It is easy to install and is designed to fit in standard 24-inch depth cabinets.
Simple to upgrade to your exacting standards, the SRT366 easily accepts a restaurant-worthy infrared char-broiler or griddle. Make sure you're prepared to give up two of your four precision cooking burners for these accessories, however.
The Wolf SRT366 is expensive, but it is still a best buy by our standards and among the most solid of rangetops. This is a selection that is sure to making the most exacting of home chefs happy.
