The Waring Pro Professional Coffee Urn CU55 is a rugged looking large-capacity machine that churns out a party-sized batch of steaming coffee in about half an hour. That's nearly half the time of most comparable machines, which offer "cup-a-minute" brewing.

Constructed from brushed stainless steel, the CU55 stands approximately 18 inches tall with a 10-inch-diameter base. The inside of the brew chamber has embossed measurement markings for 25 cups (minimum), 35 cups, 45 cups or 55 cups (maximum) so it's easy to see just how much water to use.

The unit comes with a permanent stainless-steel filter basket with lid and brew pump tube. Recommended ground coffee amounts for different size batches are printed in the instruction manual. The amounts are given in both cups and tablespoons for your convenience. Using the urn is simple; a single lighted on/off switch activates the brewing. When coffee is ready, the unit automatically switches to "keep warm" to preserve the desired serving temperature. A large spigot lets you dispense cups of coffee individually or fill a carafe for serving. A green indicator light signals when the coffee is ready to serve.

A clear glass tube on the front of the unit shows how much coffee is remaining in the urn at any given time. The Waring Pro Professional Coffee Urn is commercially rated but designed for consumer use so you get the best of both worlds. The unit's two-heater system separates the brewing and heating functions to preserve the freshest possible taste at the ideal temperature.
