The VTech Whiz Kid PC Learning System is an interactive learning board for children ages 3 to 6. This educational toy helps kids learn skills necessary for school readiness, and it is great for kids attending their first years of elementary school. Using the 20 included Whizware double-sided activity pages, kids can hone their reading, letter recognition, phonics, vocabulary and math skills, as well as learn about colors, shapes, art and music.

Kids can use the Whiz Kid PC Learning System on its own, or (probably with their parents' help) they can plug it into a PC. Unfortunately, this system is not compatible with Macs. The Whizware activity pages come with a CD for learning on the computer and cartridges when using the system by itself.

When used alone, the Whiz Kid PC Learning System lets kids take their learning on the go. They simply insert a cartridge into the interactive learning board and place the corresponding activity page on the screen, and the attached stylus and touch-sensitive screen let them play the educational games. Alternatively, the Whizware CD lets the activity pages be displayed on a computer screen, and each title features an icon that takes kids to a secure website for bonus games.

The Whiz Kid PC Learning System is not too difficult for kids to master, yet the activities remain challenging enough to hold their interest. There is also a library of additional cartridges and pages parents can add to the system. Overall, the VTech Whiz Kid PC Learning System is an entertaining and educational toy that kids will enjoy using time and again.
