VillaWare Crepe Maker 5225
Date Published: 8/10/06
The VillaWare Crepe Maker 5225 makes an easy of job of creating delicious mouth-watering crepes. The unit consists of an inverted pan, which you actually dip into the batter, rather than the other way around. The design eliminates the step of pouring batter into a pan and tilting the pan to try and cover the bottom in an even layer. You also don't have to worry about measuring the batter. The included plastic dipping plate, which holds the batter, is the perfect compliment to this piece. The crepe maker gets dipped into the batter at an angle to completely coat the surface of the nonstick plate. Then, the crepe maker is removed from the batter and set on its three rubber tipped legs while the crepe cooks.
The crepes cook up in about a minute depending on the desired crispness. By spreading a small amount of melted butter on the surface of the pan before dipping, you can ensure easy release. No waiting time is needed between crepes, so you can make an entire batch in no time. The 7.5-inch-diameter cooking surface has a Xylan nonstick coating, which is easy to clean. The 6.5-inch handle is attached to the hot plate made of heavy die-cast aluminum. The handle of the Crepe Maker 5225 stays cool during use, and also contains an automatic thermostat control with a ready light.
