The VillaWare Compact Pro Belgian Flip Waffler V31201 lets you make waffles like the professionals. This unit has a raised design that imitates the waffle makers found in restaurants. Since gravity works in the favor of fluffy waffles, this unit sits horizontally in its raised stand to begin baking, then can be flipped over to complete the process. It uses a bit more batter than traditional machines, but the end result is an evenly cooked, light, and airy waffle with a delicate crisp crust.

The Waffler bakes four 1-1/4-inch thick square waffles, each measuring 4x4 inches. There is a dial browning control with settings from 1 (light) to 6 (dark), plus several warming settings. The pre-heat time for this unit is about 8 minutes, and the finished waffle cooks in about 5 minutes. A red power light stays on to let you know the unit is working, and a green ready light signals when the proper baking temperature has been reached. A light coating of oil brushed onto the nonstick grids ensures easy release. By partially cooking the waffle and then rotating the unit 180 degrees, you can actually make extra-thick deep-pocket waffles that are light and fluffy. A second green ready light located on the underside of the waffler is handy for seeing when it's time to flip the unit over.

The special "Waffle Warm"" setting can be used to keep waffles warm until ready to serve. You can also re-warm or re-crisp previously baked waffles by returning them to the hot Waffler. The Waffler is styled in brushed stainless steel with black accents. The base flip handle and end control panel are all made from stay-cool phenolic plastic. The flip handle rotates from left to right for left or right-handed users. The Waffler can be flipped vertically for space-saving storage.
