Replace your anemic low-performance range hood with one that really works. Viking’s VWH3010 is a 460 cfm (cubic feet per minute), heavy-duty, commercial-type ventilation hood that quickly and effectively draws heat, steam, and grease out of the kitchen.

While effective, it is not so powerful that it draws all the heat from your home. It makes a fine replacement for an older unit and is appropriate for use with standard or commercial-style non-grill/griddle ranges and cooktops.

We especially liked the heat sensor feature of this model. When cooking temperatures increase in the kitchen, this model automatically switches "on." Variable speed controls make it possible to adjust the draw of this hood and even allow the user to leave the ventilator set at a favorite speed.

Ditto for the dimmer on the light switch. It can be dimmed to your liking and then left at a favorite position--ready, just the way you like it for the next time it is switched on. Equipped with bright halogen lights, it’s easy to see what’s cooking with this unit.

A variety of finishes, trims, hood and duct covers, backsplashes and shelves are available to complement this model. Our favorite is the folding warming shelf that holds completed dishes until ready to serve. Viking also offers this model in a 36-inch width for larger ranges and cooktops.

Unlike some of Viking’s other hoods, the Viking VWH3010 comes with the ventilator included in the price.
