The L13 is a 13-inch LCD TV that VIZIO calls the Kitchen TV because it can be easily installed under a kitchen cabinet using a separately available under-shelf mounting bracket. The monitor comes with built-in stereo speakers on either side of the standard-format screen.

The picture appears lively and sharp, with a 15-millisecond response time ensuring that the action is smooth and clear. The built-in NTSC tuner and 480i display will work best with analog programming, either from an antenna or cable source. The built-in stereo speakers produce a total of 5 watts of audio output, which is adequate for such a small TV.

Convenience features include closed captions, V-chip controls for parental restrictions of viewing, a previous channel button, and a sleep timer. The rear of the L13 holds a choice of input options, with an RF input, audio/video input, S-video input, and component video input. This set is not equipped with DVI or HDMI inputs and is not HD-ready. The small silver remote control has a simple layout that should prove easy to learn, but it is not a universal model.

The included table stand of the VIZIO L13 allows the unit to easily swivel and tilt for viewing from any part of the kitchen, den, bedroom, or other small room, and it can be removed for wall mounting.
