The TRU9485-2 is a 5.8GHz system from Uniden that offers a low-priced option for people who need multiple extensions. Included in the box are two handsets, but the system is capable of accommodating 10 handsets total. The phones also have an intercom feature that allows for direct communication between handsets.

The integrated digital answering machine can record up to 12 minutes of messages, and the handsets can hold up to 100 entries in their phonebooks. These contacts can be entered manually, or they can be transferred from either the 100-entry caller ID log or from other handsets. Range and clarity for the handsets are fairly good, and because the 5.8GHz frequency is used, one does not have to worry about interference with Wi-Fi networks. Other features include: memo recording, handset speakerphones, last three number redial, 20 built-in ring tones, and a do-not-disturb feature that silences all ringers.
