Tripleplay Sit N Stroll Convertible Car Seat 4001
Date Published: 7/5/06
If you're looking for a car seat with multiple uses, then Tripleplay's Sit N Stroll Convertible Car Seat is a home run.
It can function as a rear-facing infant car seat, a forward-facing car seat for older children, a stroller, and even a booster seat for dining. This FAA-certified-for-flight car seat is especially well suited for travel. After using it as an airplane car seat, you can disembark and transform it into a stroller, use it again as a car seat when you take a cab, and later as a booster seat during dinner.
We find the Sit N Stroll performs well as a rear-facing car seat for children from 5 to 30 pounds, just as it does when used forward-facing for children of one year of age and 20 to 40 pounds. We did notice that, at 15.5 pounds, the car seat is heavier than most, but find its versatility makes up for its weight. It features a five-point harness system with three harness positions.
We also like its adjustable height handle with foam handle grips. While its low center of gravity may look a bit odd, it is virtually tip-proof. Plus, we were pleased to discover the stroller wheels retract and do not harm vehicle upholstery when used as a car seat. It comes with a storage bin that stows necessary items.
The Sit N Stroll is the most versatile car seat we've encountered--and a great performer.
