Toshiba D-KR2 DVD recorder
Date Published: 1/9/08
The Toshiba D-KR2 is a multiformat DVD recorder that is capable of recording content to rewritable DVD-RAM and DVD-RW, as well as write-once DVD-R. Using DVD-RAM media allows you to utilize the Time Slip feature, which enables the D-KR2 to operate like a DVR. You can view the beginning of a program while the rest is still being recorded or effectively pause live TV.
The D-KR2 automatically creates a menu for recorded material. Details such as channel, date, and a thumbnail image of the first frame can be customized, and content can be edited to remove unwanted commercials (depending on the DVD format used). The inclusion of a VCR Plus+ timer makes it a breeze to select and program a recording session.
When this DVD recorder is connected to a digital TV, Toshiba's ColorStream Pro and Digital Cinema progressive scan outputs deliver better-than-average video images. The D-KR2 can play back DVD-Video, DVD-RAM, DVD-R/RW, VCD, audio CD, and CD-R/RW, including discs loaded with MP3, WMA, and JPEG files. Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound data can be sent to a home theater receiver via the unit's optical digital audio output. The very functional D-KR2 package is completed with a universal remote control.Warranty
