Toshiba's 14DL74 is a compact LCD TV that can sit on a kitchen counter or tabletop, or even be mounted on a wall. The silver monitor includes a pair of 2-1/2-watt stereo speakers below the screen and sits above a pedestal base that allows the monitor to swivel and tilt. The base can be removed so the monitor can be wall mounted (using an additional bracket). The flat TFT panel has a standard 4:3 aspect ratio and displays at 640X480, with all content displayed at 480p. A four-line digital comb filter helps maintain a sharp, bright picture, viewable from nearly any angle.

The 14DL74 has numerous convenience features, including an adjustable sleep timer and a headphone jack. The rear panel is home to a set of component video inputs, two sets of audio/video inputs, an S-video input, and an RF input. A pair of audio outputs can be used with an external amplifier. The rear panel has a removable cover with a handhold to keep the inputs protected and to aid in moving this small TV from place to place. The universal remote control offers glow buttons for easy nighttime use and direct access to two additional components.
