The inner liner is constructed of stainless steel and is designed to be pulled completely out of the oven for easy cleanup in the sink or dishwasher. This not only saves you the time and trouble of wiping out the interior, but also keeps the unit operating at peak efficiency since a cleaner oven has less likelihood of a flare-up.

True to its name, the outer housing of this unit stays noticeably cool to the touch during use. Standard accessories for this model include an adjustable wire rack, an 8x10-inch enamel-coated bake pan with a wire broil insert, and a handy removable serving tray, which sits atop the unit and provides a convenient place to put toasted muffins, pizza, and other foods to carry to the table. The controls consist of three dials to select the oven temperature (with settings from 200-450 degrees Fahrenheit, plus a bagel and a broil setting); the toast color (variable settings from light to dark); and cooking time (up to 120 minutes in 10-minute increments plus a stay-on setting). There is also a start toast button, which works independently of the timer.

We were impressed with the variety of settings, including a handy bagel setting that utilizes the top heating elements while the bottom elements cycle on and off to produce a top browning effect. The timer control also acts as the oven's on switch. When a time is selected, the unit begins heating and remains on until the time has elapsed. You can override the timer mechanism by either turning the dial to the "stay on" position or turning it to off.
