The housing is black with a silver control panel. At 17.5 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 10.25 inches deep, this Convection Oven Broiler takes up a considerable amount of room on the countertop. The back of the unit has an additional 2.5-inch rounded protrusion that allows extra room inside to fit a 12-inch pizza. The door handle is a silver rod, which runs along the top of the 13.5x8-inch glass door.

The oven comes with a wire rack, 9x12.75-inch bake pan, broil insert and a removable crumb tray. There are three knobs and a power on light, which remains illuminated while the unit is operating. The Temperature knob has a range of 150 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The Function knob has five settings: Convection Bake, Convection Roast, Broil/Grill, Toast and Keep Warm. The 60-minute time control dial serves as the on/off switch and also has toast settings of light, medium and dark. An audible tone alerts you when cooking time is done and the oven turns off.

The heating elements at the top and bottom of the unit cycle on and off when in use. An internal thermostat maintains the proper cooking temperature. When baking with a convection oven, the bake temperature should be reduced by 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The advantage of a convection oven is that it cooks many foods faster. Even with the lower temperature, you should check foods before the suggested time is up and adjust your recipes as needed.

The COV760B did an excellent job roasting a chicken. The chicken cooked quicker and had a far superior taste to one roasted in a conventional oven. Because the heated air is continuously circulated throughout the oven, foods maintain a uniform temperature. This results in juices being sealed in with even browning on the outside. The outcome is a chicken with a crisp exterior that is moist yet fully cooked on the inside.

The Toastmaster Convection Oven Broiler does a great job of performing such tasks as baking, roasting, broiling, toasting and keeping foods warm. Its smaller size means that it uses less electricity then a larger oven. It's a handy substitute for a regular oven and its faster cooking and versatility make it an exceptional value.

The Toastmaster 6-Slice Toaster Oven Broiler 328BC is a reasonably priced, well-constructed model that performs well. Plus, the inclusion of the convection fan makes this model a real winner.
