Thermador DWHD94B built-in dishwasher
Date Published: 1/25/07
Themador's super-quiet built-in dishwasher, the DWHD94B, doesn't keep you guessing about whether or not it's running. Instead it projects a subtle beam of light onto the floor when in operation. Only you and your family members will know when this model is quietly working away at cleaning your dishes. An innovative idea, this unique feature allows the unit to offer a sleek, uncluttered and totally control-free front panel.
Although control-free on the front panel, the DWHD94B is not lacking in sophisticated programs. Nine washing options are available and easily accessible via the integrated panel located on the upper lip of the dishwasher door. Of these nine programs, the Powerboost rapid cycle option is particularly beneficial. With this cycle, you can add power to the wash, speeding up the program so dishes finish in record time. This feature can be a big help for a forgotten load when guests are on the way, but we would not recommend using this cycle for your delicate china and crystal.
Efficient in more ways than one, this model is Energy Star qualified. The "Sens-a-Wash" feature relies on advanced technology to adjust water usage based on detected soil, while the "Flow Control" feature works to control excessive usage of both water and energy. Like the wash system, the drying is energy-efficient, while insuring that sufficient temperatures are reached to meet the 99.9 percent bacteria-free standard as certified by the National Sanitation Foundation.
An intuitive leak sensor and auto shut-off system makes this dishwasher a good choice for those who find it necessary to run their dishes when not at home. With the DWHD94B, it is unlikely that you'll ever have the unfortunate experience of dishwasher failure and the resultant water damage.
Available in stainless steel only, with a choice of two handle styles or equipped for a custom panel, the built-in dishwasher DWHD94B is an outstanding, but expensive option for the luxuriously appointed kitchen.
