The Santa Fe is housed in furniture-quality cabinet and has extras not seen in most dehumidifiers. Standard air filtration is provided by a pleated polyester and carbon blend media filter. The operator may use it with an optional HEPA filter to clean the air while the dehumidifier is in use. The specific filter housing can also be used to hold two activated carbon and potassium permanganate blend filters. In addition, it has a built-in condensate pump so that homeowners can drain "uphill," such as to a sink basin or outside through the wall or through a window. Condensate pumps are typically sold as options with other dehumidifiers. The supplied drain hose is 20 feet long. The humidistat can be set to maintain relative humidity within a wide a range, from 20 to 80, and has a defrost system down to 53 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, this unit runs very quietly.
