T-Mobile Sidekick II mobile phone
Date Published: 12/14/07
Though it is one of the more expensive phones in the pay-as-you-go market, the Sidekick II delivers high-end features, reliable performance, and is an excellent option for people that do a lot of messaging and web browsing. Built into this tri-band world phone is a color LCD that is crisp and large as well as a sizeable QWERTY keyboard that makes browsing the Internet and e-mailing surprisingly speedy. The keyboard means that the size may be a bit bulky for some (5.1x2.6 inches), but typing is considerably easier. The other downside is that the battery needs to be recharged more regularly than your average device--up to 4.5 hours of usage or just over two days of standby can be expected. This is an excellent choice for people who like to have access to multiple features but don't use their phone (or a Blackberry) enough to require a monthly plan. Other features include: calendar, camera with flash, a 2000-contact phone directory, speakerphone, USB connectivity, and photo caller ID.
