The set comes with a 7-quart covered stockpot, 1-quart, 2-quart and 3-quart covered saucepans, and 8-inch and 9.5-inch coated saute pans. The saucepans and stockpot are all made from 18/10 stainless steel with encapsulated stainless-steel and aluminum bases for stability and better heat distribution.

The two saute pans have a scratch-resistant ProMetal nonstick coating featuring T-Fal's patented Thermo Spot technology, which lets the user know when the pan is properly preheated. The Thermo Spot is a red dot in the center of the pan. When the dot is solid, the pan has reached the correct temperature and is ready to cook. The ProMetal surface is resilient enough to withstand most metal utensils. You should avoid knives and other sharp implements, however. The handles are made from cast stainless steel and riveted in place for increased sturdiness.

The pans are relatively lightweight; the majority of the pan's weight is in the multi-layer base, which captures and distributes heat across the pan's surface. The flat-bottomed pans are suitable for all stovetops, including induction, and are oven safe up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
