We love the angled design of the front panel, which gives the unit a triangular shape. This design lets you have a clear view of the toasting slots as the food is toasting. Insertion and removal of toast, bagels and other foods is easier too.

All of the controls are conveniently positioned on the front for easy access. There are two levers -- one to lower the bread into the machine and begin the toasting cycle; the other to lift food above the toasting slots for easy retrieval after toasting.

A large toast color dial on the front has settings from 1 (light) to 7 (dark) for a wide range of toasting with different foods. Two additional Reheat and Bagel buttons provide added functionality. A Stop button halts toasting at any time.

The Avante Deluxe Stainless-Steel Toaster is a bit larger than some other two-slice models; however, its triangular design and narrower front panel give it a slimmer appearance. The unit measures 7 inches wide by 11 inches deep by 9 inches tall.

We were impressed with the speed and efficiency of this toaster. Thick or thin bread slices come out evenly browned in just minutes. The bagel button lets you toast just the cut side of the bagel while warming the outside.

The stainless-steel housing got warm but not overly hot during use, and the control panel stayed comfortably cool. As a safety feature, the unit is designed to shut off automatically if food becomes jammed in the toast slots.

We loved the design and appearance of the Avante Stainless-Steel Toaster. With its easy-to-use controls, sensible angled styling and quick toasting, the Avante toaster is a pleasure to use.
