Sunbeam Heritage Series Mixmaster Stand Mixer 2349
Date Published: 10/18/06
The Sunbeam Heritage Series Mixmaster Stand Mixer 2349 is extremely powerful and efficient for all types of mixing. This unit has a 450-watt motor, higher than most other mixers in its class. The Mixmaster also features full die-cast metal construction, which gives it the weight it needs to sit firmly on your counter while tackling tough mixing jobs, and also gives it the strength to last through years of use.
Like other Sunbeam Mixmasters, this unit has a control dial on the end of the mixer head. The dial is easy to use and has convenient markings denoting the suggested speed for a specific function. There are 12 speeds; the lower speeds are well suited to folding, kneading and light mixing, while the higher speeds excel at creaming, beating and whipping. The mixer comes with three sets of attachments: stainless-steel beaters, whisk and dough hook. You also get two stainless-steel mixing bowls: 2.2-quart and 4.5-quart sizes.
An unusual feature of this mixer is the dual motor, which enables one motor to drive the beaters and a separate motor to spin the work bowl. It is rare to find a separate motor to drive the work bowl and what a difference -- the bowl spins continuously without pushing or prodding. The beaters also spin in opposing directions and this action seems to make short work of the mixing task at hand. Additional features include a tilt and lock head, adjustable turntable position, and soft start up for blending dry ingredients.
Pros: Exceptional dual motor, sturdy, powerful
Cons: Heavy
