Sony DAV-LF1 home theater system

Convenience on its own is one thing, but convenience combined with awesome sound quality is a whole other story. The DAV-LF1 combines the quality of Sony's Dream System product line, complete with multichannel SACD playback, with the convenience of wireless rear speakers.
The DAV-LF1 uses Sony's Digital Infrared Audio Transmission technology to transmit high-resolution audio to the rear speakers. Of course, you'll need to power the rear-speaker receiver and run wires from the receiver to the speakers, so this is a not-so-wireless wireless system. However, if your room makes it impossible to run wires from the front to the back, then the DAV-LF1 may be the right system for you.
The DAV-LF1's main unit has a progressive scan disc player that is compatible DVD, SACD, CD, and CD-R/RW, including those loaded with MP3 and JPEG. It has internal processing for DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound. The built-in amplifier provides a total of 600 watts, with 170 watts reserved for the subwoofer. There is an AM/FM tuner with presets for 30 stations. The DAV-LF1 has a decent selection of input and output connections, including component video, composite video, and S-video outputs, composite video inputs, and a digital audio input.
The ultra-thin speakers provide an excellent sound, and they should also please the decorator of the household. Each satellite employs a two-way design, with a 4-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter. All of the floor-standing speakers use the same driver configuration, so they provide a seamless ambient feel, whether for DVD movies or SACD surround music. The subwoofer has a 7-1/2-inch driver that provides a tight, impactful sound. Set-up is a breeze with the included color-coded speaker cables. With its wireless rear speakers and SACD playback, the Sony DAV-LF1 is a fine system that will satisfy just about any home theater fan.Warranty
