The Sony CFD-F10SILVER could be considered a sleeper. Thanks to its two-way speaker design, the CFD-F10SILVER has a very clear and powerful (relatively speaking) sound, which is not what one would probably expect from the less-than-stunning exterior. A 9-watt amplifier powers the speakers, and it sports Sony's Mega Bass and Mega Xpand sound enhancements. In addition, separate tweeters give the system a high-frequency performance not often found in a portable system.
The CD player can handle CD-R/RW, but it will not play digital audio files like MP3 or WMA. The player has a 20-track programmable playlist, along with repeat and shuffle modes. The CFD-F10SILVER has a digital stereo tuner that makes it easier to tune directly to your favorite stations. While not a particularly attractive unit, the Sony CFD-F10SILVER features a sound that will surely impress.
