Silver Cross Micro V.2 Stroller 2402MP
Date Published: 4/21/08
Looking for a lightweight umbrella stroller that's actually comfortable for your baby and won't cause back strain? Then the Silver Cross Micro V.2 Stroller is worth a second look. This is a stylish stroller in hues of graphite and charcoal with larger-than-average 6-inch wheels. It has an simple one-hand fold and pushes easier than most convenience strollers we've tried, thanks to enhanced suspension and responsive steering.
Silver Cross is an England-based company with a 130-year history of designing strollers. The Micro line is the company's foray into lightweight, moderately priced strollers. While the Micro V.2 Stroller doesn't have all the luxury of a Silver Cross carriage, it has a generous helping of chic comfort that many umbrella strollers lack.
At almost 9.5 pounds, the Silver Cross Micro V.2 Stroller can be lifted into a car trunk or tall SUV. The stroller seat doesn't recline, and we do wish the canopy was larger and provided more coverage. The stroller doesn't have a footrest, which would be a good addition for older children (the stroller can hold children up to 45 pounds). We do, however, like the stroller's five-point harness, storage basket and padded, washable interior.
Overall, the Silver Cross Micro V.2 Stroller is pricier than many other umbrella strollers, but offers many more features. It comes in pink (2402MP), red (2411MR) and grey/blue (2412MG).
Pros: Lightweight, easy one-hand fold
Cons: Seat does not recline, no footrest, small canopy
