Sierra Designs Lazer +30 synthetic sleeping bag

The Sierra Designs Lazer +30 is a very lightweight, synthetic sleeping bag. Therefore the bag can provide good thermal insulation in damp conditions. If the bag does get wet, it can be dried to fully restore thermal insulation. Unlike many synthetic sleeping bags, the Lazer is relatively lightweight thanks to its use of PrimaLoft Sport polyester insulation. The Lazer +30, of course, is rated to 30 degrees. This is a relatively easy temperature to insulate to, and this also allows the bag to weigh in as a lightweight. In addition, its half-length zipper saves weight over a full-length zipper.
The Lazer uses a shingled construction to maintain fill distribution throughout the bag, with extra overlapping in the torso section. The Lazer also features removable pad locks so you can secure the bag to a sleeping pad and offers improved snag-free zipper tracks. In addition, both the top and bottom draft tubes backing the zippers are fully insulated. The bag uses a vented footbox to allow more air circulation and to keep your feet from sweating; this further confirms that the bag is mainly designed for cool summer nights, not cold winter ones. On the other hand, the bag does have a full hood; on colder nights you can zipper up the footbox and draw up the hood and stay warm.
The Lazer +30 is a water-resistant synthetic sleeping bag that is mainly designed for warmer nights, and for nights that are potentially wet. Because it is a synthetic sleeping bag, it will keep you warm even if it rains--provided the temperatures don't drop below freezing. A compression stuff sack and storage bag are included with the Lazer +30 synthetic sleeping bag.
