We are pleasantly surprised by both the quality feel and the thoughtful features included in the Samsung RS267LBSH side-by-side refrigerator; it seems to have been designed by a team familiar with the features that people actually want and need today.

For example, the RS267LBSH has an electronic through-the-door ice and water delivery system that allows you to program the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator compartments and see the readouts on a brightly-lit screen. The RS267LBSH includes a nifty interior deodorizer as well; it keeps the interior compartments smelling fresh and clean.

This is certainly a large-capacity model with enough space to accommodate the food storage needs of even the largest family; you'll find 16.1 cubic feet of space in the fresh foods compartment and 10 cubic feet of space in the freezer compartment. This model is very energy-efficient, using just 608kWh of electricity each year, so you can expect to pay about $64 annually to operate this enormous refrigerator.

Don't let this model's reasonable price fool you -- it is chock full of convenience and performance features that are evident from the second you open the doors. On the fridge door are four clear bins, including two that are gallon-size, plus a clear dairy compartment.

The fresh foods compartment has three adjustable glass shelves with a spillsaver feature, plus three drawers. One bottom drawer is a humidity-controlled fruit and vegetable crisper, another drawer is a temperature-controlled deli drawer and the top drawer is a nifty "CoolSelect Zone" drawer; this multi-purpose drawer can be electronically programmed to thaw, quick-cool or soft-freeze, or the temperature can be programmed to "chill" to keep the drawer at the same temperature as the rest of the fresh foods compartment. A built-in wine rack and removable egg caddy round out the features that are found in the fresh foods compartment.

Within the freezer of the RS267LBSH are two hefty drawers/baskets, plus two glass shelves and a glass shelf above the baskets. Samsung has thoughtfully located the icemaker apparatus to the left of the freezer compartment, freeing up a vertical shelf to its right that is the perfect size for a pizza box. The door has three tilt-out door bins and a fixed bin.

We love the through-the-door ice and water delivery system, which works through an integral filter. The electronic display is bright and allows you to program the internal fresh foods and freezer compartment temperature and launch the quick-cool and quick-freeze capabilities without opening the door. The two-paddle dispenser delivers crushed and cubed ice and chilled water; it's extra-deep, so you can fill tall glasses and pitchers easily.

The RS267LBSH comes in a platinum finish that looks like stainless steel but is much easier to maintain.

The Samsung RS267LBSH is a great value for an enormous and well-featured side-by-side refrigerator.
