The Salter Multiweigh Kitchen Scale 810 is a mechanical scale, which consists of a round disk base with rotating platform and clear 2-litre plastic measuring bowl.

You can weigh any food (or combination of foods) up to 9 pounds (or 4 kilograms in 1-ounce increments). The bowl is especially helpful for weighing loose ingredients, such as flour or sugar, or for adding and weighing liquids. The weighing platform is spring-activated and requires no batteries. The sliding measurement lets you add ingredients one at a time, zeroing and weighing after each new addition.

To use the scale, simply set the bowl on the weighing platform, and turn the dial so the indicator points to 0 pounds. As you add ingredients to the bowl, the indicator moves to the corresponding weight measurement along the dial. The large numbers are easy to read and the wide platform base is well balanced.

Since the Salter Multiweigh Kitchen Scale 810 can be reset to zero at any time, you can also use any plate or bowl you like, and negate the extra weight of the bowl by simply returning the dial to zero. The free-standing bowl removes for easy cleaning in the sink or dishwasher. It also inverts over the base for compact, dust-free storage.
