The Rival Smart-Pot is truly in a class by itself. This unit "outsmarts" other slow cookers by allowing its user to preset the cooking time and temperature level. Choose from two temperature settings (high or low) and four time settings (2, 4, 6, or 8 hours) using the touchpad control panel. When the set time has elapsed, the slow cooker switches automatically to keep warm to maintain the ideal serving temperature without overcooking. The Rival Smart-Pot comes with a 6-quart stoneware liner that removes for easy cleaning. An oval design facilitates the cooking of oblong foods, such as a whole chicken, roast, baking hen, or ham. Wraparound heat surrounds the food for slow, steady cooking. The stoneware liner, along with its glass lid, is also oven proof and microwave safe. Other features include stay-cool handles and a Rinse-Clean lifetime stick resistant coating on stoneware crock. Both liner and lid are also dishwasher safe.
