The Rival SD165 electric skillet has a 7-quart family-size capacity, making it large enough to cook three Cornish hens. The skillet, with its oval shape, black base, and clear glass lid, is great for those times when you need to free up the stovetop and oven.

A nonstick, textured cooking surface translates into healthier meals and easy clean up. Although the skillet itself gets hot when in use, the two handles on either side stay cool.

The removable temperature control probe has a dial for setting the unit on warm or off, an indicator light, and various temperature settings. The control dial may be set from 200-400 degrees Fahrenheit. When the correct temperature has been reached, the indicator light goes off.

The Rival SD165 electric skillet must be used on a heat-resistant surface. Plastic, nylon, or wooden utensils are recommended to keep the surface free of nicks and scratches. With the temperature control probe removed, the Rival SD165 electric skillet is dishwasher safe.
