The Rival GR250 Digital Griddle with Removable Cooking Plate takes the guesswork out of cooking. Part of the Home Chef Collection, this unit offers several exceptional features, including a state-of-the-art temperature control panel that lets you select the precise cooking temperature.

A digital readout displays the selected temperature, then shifts to display the actual temperature of the griddle as it climbs to reach the set temperature. The temperature can be adjusted from 150 to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, in 25-degree increments.

Preheat and ready lights alert you to the griddle's status. There is also a button that lets you change the temperature scale from Fahrenheit to Celsius if desired. Another handy feature is the nonstick griddle plate, which has a full-perimeter rim with front grease channel to prevent items from accidentally spilling off the edge.

A small grease drawer on the front of the unit catches any drippings and slides out for easy cleaning. The grease drawer is large enough to hold 6.4 ounces of drippings, which is sufficient for most tasks. If you are cooking consecutive batches of a high-fat-content food (such as bacon), you may need to empty the tray.

The griddle plate itself is also removable, snapping into position during use and then lifting off for easy cleanup. A 10x20-inch cooking surface provides ample room for a family-size batch of pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, even steaks and home-fried potatoes.
