Rival's 8-Quart capacity Food Steamer FSD200 is an ideal, easy-to-use countertop appliance for complete "low fat, low carb" meal preparation. The steamer assembles easily from the base up, with each piece stacking on the one below. Centered on the 9x12-inch white oval base is a light gray half-moon-shaped pushbutton control panel with digital countdown timer, red power indicator, and marked water level view window. Easily positioned atop the base is a white plastic juice tray to catch and contain excess moisture drippings during steaming. Two transparent, stackable plastic steaming baskets then rest on the juice tray, followed next by the clear oval lid with side handles and steam release vent holes. Baskets are amply sized, dishwasher safe, and can be used individually or tiered to accommodate multiple cooking tasks. Either basket can accommodate 6 eggs on built-in bottom grooves designed for that purpose, 1 pound of hotdogs, 2-4 pieces of chicken or comparable amounts of fresh vegetables.

An added feature of the Rival Digital Food Steamer FSD200 is the removable bottom of the top basket to allow formation of an extra-deep single steaming basket, which can fit larger items such as whole artichokes, a full head of broccoli or even a whole chicken. A white plastic rice bowl with side handles is also included for use in either basket and can accommodate up to 1 cup of uncooked rice. All the pieces fit together nicely for storage between use.
