Its lightweight fiberglass shaft lets you trim branches up to 10 feet high, and the 17-inch dual-action cutting bar gnaws through branches up to 3/4 inch thick. The cutting bar pivots 180 degrees and can be locked in any of five positions. That's a particularly welcome feature because it lets you tackle just about any hedge trimming job, no matter if it's the top of a high shrub, down low without having to bend over, or in a hard-to-reach spot like between the hedge and a wall. The loop handle provides a comfortable grip, and the lock-on switch lets you trim continuously without holding down a button or trigger.
