Some RC kits don’t come with any parts at all, only a set of plans. The idea is that if you buy the parts yourself, you will get an extra sense of accomplishment by constructing the RC model from scratch. This method is typically enjoyed by older, more experienced RC enthusiasts, but a young adult who enjoys working with their hands can get a good idea of the inner workings of RC transmitters, receivers and motors if they are willing to take the time to build their own RC model.
