Ideal for singles or couples with varied tastes, the single-serve coffee maker brews one cup of coffee at a time. This lets you alter the flavor or switch between caffeinated and decaffeinated each time you brew your next cup.

The coffee maker consists of a black plastic housing with built-in water reservoir, permanent mesh filter and filter holder for ground coffee, a pod adapter and holder for single-serve pod coffee and a 10-ounce plastic measuring cup. The unit stands just 12-3/10 inches tall with a 7-1/2x7-1/10-inch footprint.

There are no bells and whistles on this unit, just plain and simple brewing. A single pushbutton control activates the brewing and shuts off automatically when brewing has finished. The permanent mesh filter is a welcome addition, eliminating the need for paper filters. A scant 3/4 tablespoon of coffee is all that is needed to make one 10-ounce cup of coffee. You can also use the pod adapter to brew a cup of coffee using any pre-filled coffee or tea pod. The unit brews directly into your own cup or mug.

The Proctor Silex Single-Serve Coffeemaker can also be used to heat water for instant soup, tea or cocoa. Simply omit the coffee grounds or pod to brew water directly into your mug. The machine's recessed cup rest accommodates mugs up to 3.5 inches wide and 4 inches tall.
