Porter-Cable has upgraded its popular 4x24-Inch Variable-Speed Sander w/Case 362VSK by adding variable-speed control. The dial is conveniently placed on the sander's handle, right above the trigger switch. This allows the operator to change speeds from 1,000 to 1,500 sfpm with the thumb while operating the sander.

The upgraded Porter-Cable 362VSK also has more power than its predecessor with a new 12-amp motor. This translates to quick removal of lots of material.

Despite its somewhat clunky appearance, this quality tool boasts many thoughtful features, including an easy-to-use quick-release belt-change lever, an accurate belt-tracking adjustment knob, nearly flush sanding at vertical surfaces, and a large-capacity dust-collection bag.

In use, the Porter-Cable 362VSK is well balanced (the motor is located over the platen) and comfortable for a belt sander. We especially like the pistol-style hand that allows a more natural wrist and arm position.

One 100-grit ceramic aluminum oxide belt, dust bag assembly, belt cleaner stick, and carrying case are supplied with the unit.
