The RTi6 speakers are beautiful bookshelf units, and they employ Polk's Dynamic Balance polymer-composite drivers that have a long history of performance excellence. The RTi6 use a 6-1/2-inch woofer and a newly designed 1-inch silk/polymer dome tweeter. The cabinets are magnetically shielded, so they can be placed close to a television monitor.
The bass reflex cabinets are finished in a real-wood veneer, available in either black oak or cherry. There are rear-mounted Power Ports that let you get the benefits of a port with a special shape that reduces port turbulence noise. Because of the design of the Power Port, these speakers can be wall-mounted, and they have a keyhole slot in the back to make this an easy procedure.
The frequency response is 40Hz to 27,000Hz, with a sensitivity rating of 89dB. The impedance is 8 ohms, and the maximum average power handling is 125 watts. The RTi6 are bi-amplified, with dual five-way binding posts for secure and solid connections. The sound of the RTi6 speakers is very pure and rich, with a tight, accurate sound.
