Polaroid PZ2320AF 35mm film camera

Date Published: 9/20/07

There are a number of different models of Polaroid cameras. The Polaroid PZ2320AF is one of the more full-featured and stylish models at a reasonable price.

It has a modest 2.37X, 38-90mm power zoom lens with autofocusing down to 3 feet. The smooth silver-toned body has a convenient rubberized bulge in the front and protrusion in the back for tight, comfortable griping.

There are just a few controls, mostly located on the top between a LCD and the shutter release button. There is an on/off power button, a mode selection button, and one to activate the self-timer. Pressing the mode button makes tiny symbols appear on the small LCD for fill flash, landscape, red-eye reduction, flash off, and night scene mode. That's quite a few optional modes for a moderate-priced camera.

On the back are wobble buttons to operate the fast, quiet power zoom. The viewfinder is small, but bright. Test prints had good, sharp detail at all focal lengths on subjects from 3 feet to infinity. The flash covered the entire field evenly and balanced well when used as daylight fill outdoors.

There is a rather broad range of shutter speeds for the Polaroid PZ2320AF, but the maximum lens speed is rather slow so it is not particularly suitable for indoor existing light pictures. The built-in flash provided plenty of light for inside subjects and has a nice range of 3 to 12.11 feet with ISO 100 film.
