The Pioneer Elite VSX-74TXVi is a home theater receiver that covers all the bases. The THX Select VSX-74TXVi offers 140 watts into seven channels, and it has integrated decoding for the standard five-channel formats as well as more advanced formats such as Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES and DTS Neo 6, in addition to Dolby Pro Logic IIx.

On the audio side, the VSX-74TXVi has a USB input to connect with a computer, allowing you to stream digital music files and internet radio. There is also a total of seven digital audio inputs, including a front-panel optical input, as well as four analog audio inputs and a discrete eight-channel input for a DVD-Audio or SACD player.
