The Panasonic TC-20LA5 is a 20-inch LCD TV that is slim and light enough to move around the house or fit into a tight space. The 4:3 aspect ratio screen is framed in black, and stereo speakers are built into the silver panel below the screen. The detachable pedestal stand makes tilting and swiveling the screen a breeze.

Images on the TC-20LA5 are presented in enhanced-definition 480p (not high-definition), with a resolution of 640X480. This set produces strong levels of detail and contrast and a very bright appearance that is viewable in just about any light conditions. A 3-D Y/C digital comb filter reduces dot crawl and rainbow effects.

The built-in stereo speakers produce a total of 12 watts of audio output, with simulated surround sound available when desired. Convenience features include a sleep timer, video input labeling and V-chip parental controls.

The rear panel of the TC-20LA5 offers several connection options, with two composite video inputs, two S-video inputs and one component video input. A headphone jack is available on the front of the cabinet for private listening. Rounding out the TC-20LA5 package is a silver remote control that is relatively basic but easy to use.
