Expandable up to 8 handsets total, the KX-TG6700B is a reliable cordless system for large homes and small offices. One handset is included with the system, and although only two lines are supported, the system has more-than-ample message space on its 60-minute digital answering machine. Unfortunately, however, messages cannot be diverted to separate mailboxes. Phone numbers can be dialed form the 50-contact telephone directory, or calls can be made from the 50-entry caller ID log. The handset is also equipped with a built-in speakerphone.

Call clarity and range for the handsets are good, and because the 5.8GHz frequency is utilized, one doesn't need to worry about interference with Wi-Fi networks. Meanwhile, due to the Ni-MH battery, one also needn't be concerned about memory effect when recharging. Other features include: 3-way conferencing, remote message retrieval, page, and message waiting indicators on the handsets' antennae.
