Panasonic KX-TG5433M Cordless Phone System w/ Three Handsets
Date Published: 6/19/08
With outstanding call clarity and great range, the Panasonic KX-TG5433M is one of the best cordless systems on the market right now.
Many consumers are opting for 5.8GHz phones because they do not interfere with Wi-Fi networks (which operate within the 2.4GHz range). However, because the FCC opened this band just a few years ago, many products were released quickly and do not fare well when compared with 2.4GHz models.
This system arrives with three phones--two powered by separate docks, one by the base station--and is not only easy to use but also delivers excellent performance. Incoming calls are tracked by the 50-entry call waiting/caller ID logs and, if diverted to the 15-minute digital answering machine, are redisplayed on large backlit LCDs when listening to the messages.
One particularly useful feature is that the 50-entry phonebooks on each handset can be wirelessly synched with the others. Each handset also has a built-in speakerphone that provides excellent performance.
Other features include: intercom, conference calling, Caller IQ, remote message retrieval, downloadable ring tones, and message-waiting indicators on the handsets' antennae.
If functionality, reliability, and price are your major concerns, the Panasonic KX-TG5433M is probably the best 5.8GHz system on the market right now.
