The CT-30WX15 is a 30-inch widescreen TV from Panasonic that is ready for high-definition, with a picture that is free of distortion and glare, with sharp edges and lots of detail.

A 3-D Y/C digital comb filter reduces dot crawl and rainbow effects, and sharpness is enhanced by velocity modulation scanning, vertical and horizontal edge correction, and video noise reduction. Users can hook up a progressive scan DVD player and view movies in 480p, and the addition of an external HD receiver will allow them to watch HDTV in 1,080i. The twin stereo speakers are rated at 10 watts of audio output per channel, and the CT-30WX15 offers virtual surround sound to create a 3-D effect.

Other convenience features include channel and video input labeling, memory for up to 16 favorite channels, three video presets, a timer that can turn the TV on and off at two preset times each day, and parental V-chip controls. The front of the TV has composite and S-video inputs, while the rear panel offers three composite video inputs, two S-video inputs, two component video inputs, an HDMI interface, and a fixed/variable audio output.

The cabinet is silver, with a black frame surrounding the flat picture tube and stereo speakers on either side of the screen. The universal remote control has illuminated buttons and a disc controller, all in a compact design that is light and easy to handle.
