The 20-inch Panasonic CT-20SL15 is a strong if basic performer that will fit into most spaces and budgets.

The silver cabinet is attractively designed with a dark gray border surrounding the flat picture tube. Stereo speakers are located on either side of the screen, while control buttons and audio/video inputs are hidden below the screen behind a small door.

The flatness of the CT-20SL15's 4:3 aspect ratio picture tube reduces glare and distortion, so the picture looks accurate from any angle, and a 2-line comb filter reduces rainbow effects and dot crawl. The stereo system can be set to maintain a steady level of output, even during commercials, and it is equipped with dbx noise reduction.

In addition to the front-panel inputs, the rear of the cabinet has several appealing connection choices for use with a DVD player and other components. There is an RF input, an audio/video input, an S-video input, and a component video input to choose from, but no outputs.
