Panasonic CQ-VD7003U mobile multimedia system

Car audio/video systems gradually keep getting better, but Panasonic makes a huge leap forward with its CQ-VD7003U. The single-DIN CQ-VD7003U features a crystal-clear 7-inch motorized touchscreen with a wide-format 16:9 aspect ratio. Keep in mind that you should never watch movies while driving. Some states have even banned the use of car video systems with driver-visible screens, which includes the CQ-VD7003U.
The CQ-VD7003U can handle a multitude of media. In addition to DVD-Video, this system can also play high-resolution DVD-Audio. Other compatible formats include DVD-R/RW, VCD, audio CD, and CD-R/RW, including discs loaded with MP3 and WMA digital audio files. There is also a digital AM/FM tuner, an auxiliary audio input for the connection of an MP3 player, and even a camera input for the on-screen display of digital pictures. A wireless remote control is included in the package.
Unlike other systems that require an external audio processor, the CQ-VD7003U has an integrated processor for Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound. An internal amplifier provides 50 watts (peak) into four channels, but you will probably want to use the 2-volt pre-amp outputs to connect a multichannel amplifier to experience true 5.1 surround sound. The frequency response is 20Hz to 20,000Hz. There are separate bass and treble controls, as well as high-pass and low-pass filters.
The CQ-VD7003U's motorized screen can be configured to extend to the open position when the car is started (and retract when the car is turned off), and one touch of the TILT button moves the screen out of the way if you need access to something behind it. You can configure the CQ-VD7003U so the rear passengers can use headphones and optional monitors to view and/or hear a different source than the front passengers. For a full mobile multimedia experience that doesn't take up much space in your dashboard, the Panasonic CQ-VD7003U is feature-packed and ready to roll.Warranty
