Palm Treo 650 Smartphone
Date Published: 1/7/08
An improvement over its progenitor model, the quad-band Treo 650 uses a Palm OS to provide exceptional features and good performance. Previous Treo owners will appreciate the improved resolution on the 320X320 65K-color LCD, the speedy 312Mhz processor, the larger buttons on the full QWERTY keyboard, and the removable battery. In addition, the phone includes a decent VGA camera that takes photos and videos that can be sent via MMS, e-mail, Bluetooth or infrared. Though there is an expansion card slot, internal memory is 32MB. The Li-ion battery provides 5 - 6 hours of talk time or about 13 days of standby.
Unlike many new phones, the Treo 650 unfortunately does not support Wi-Fi nor can you use the phone as a wireless modem for your laptop. Otherwise, this is one of the best smartphones on the market. Other features include: MP3 player, an easy-to-access silent switch, vibrating ring, speakerphone and a WAP 2.0 web browser (for EDGE and GPRS networks).
Pros: Fast processor, excellent LCD, Palm OS
Cons: No Wi-Fi, cannot act as a wireless modem
