The OSN 250 Compact Tripod handles this purpose quite well as the maximum height is only 24.5 inches with the short elevator fully extended. Unlike most lightweight and ultra-compact tripods that extend greatly up to chest height then tend to become wobbly and unsteady in the process, this model wisely only has three short leg extensions, which remain firm even when at the maximum 24.5-inch extension. The legs are all grooved for strength and have quick release lever locks that firmly hold each leg at the desired extension. There are permanent rubber feet on the leg ends since this tripod will typically be used sitting on another surface other than the ground, such as a table, bench, or car hood. The three-way pan head smoothly moves in any direction then locks in place. There is a spring-loaded quick release camera platform. Each leg can be locked in any of three angles, so each can be used practically horizontal when necessary. It appears to be well made and durable for a long life. It would be very helpful when using a camera on self-timer.
