The Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker FTX29 is designed with an array of features that let you customize your coffee to suit your taste. This unit has an attractive front control panel, styled in red, with a black inset and six pushbutton controls to select the brew strength (regular or strong); start the brew cycle immediately; set a delayed brew; view the Fresh Brew timer; and set the clock (hour and minutes).

The Fresh Brew timer is a handy feature that counts (up to a maximum of 2 hours) from the time the brew cycle has completed, so you always know how fresh the coffee is. This model comes with a 12-cup glass carafe, removable plastic filter holder, dual water-level indicator windows, and nonstick warming plate/base. A flip-back lid provides access to the water reservoir and filter holder, which requires standard basket-style paper filters. There is also a special water filtration system, which uses a carbon-based filter to remove chlorine and impurities from your water for better-tasting coffee. Each filter lasts about one month or approximately 30 brew cycles.

Between the programmable clock timer, the brew strength selector, and the adjustable warming tray, you can have your coffee when and how you like it. Additional features include pause-to-serve, which lets you enjoy a cup of coffee before brewing has completed; an audible ready signal, which beeps when coffee is ready; on/off indicator lights; a special cleaning cycle; cord storage; and 2-hour automatic shut off.
